1.5 A synchronous buck — what sets the rail
The TPS62113RSAT is a synchronous step-down (buck) converter from Texas Instruments, delivering up to 1.5 A from a 3.1 V to 17 V input rail. The 1 MHz switching frequency lets you pick a small inductor — typically 4.7 µH to 10 µH — which keeps the footprint tight on a 16-QFN (4x4 mm) board. The adjustable output starts at 1.2 V, so it can power a 1.8 V or 3.3 V logic rail, a 5 V sensor bus, or a 12 V intermediate bus down to a lower point-of-load voltage.
