The TPS62110RSAR is a Texas Instruments synchronous step-down regulator delivering 1.5 A continuous output from a 3.1 V to 17 V input rail. Synchronous rectification eliminates the external Schottky catch diode. The 1 MHz switching frequency lets the designer use a smaller inductor than a lower-frequency part would require, shrinking the board footprint.
