3 MHz switching — layout and inductor choice
At 3 MHz the switching edges are fast enough that parasitic inductance in the input loop matters. Keep the input capacitor — a 10 µF ceramic with adequate DC-bias derating — within 2 mm of the VIN and GND pins.
