Buck regulator for tight point-of-load rails
The Texas Instruments TPS62050DGSG4 is a step-down buck regulator delivering 800mA continuous output from a 2.7V to 10V input rail. The 850kHz fixed switching frequency keeps inductor and capacitor values small, while the adjustable output down to 0.7V covers modern low-voltage logic rails.
Output voltage range and external compensation
Output is adjustable from 0.7V up to 6V via an external resistor divider. The device includes internal compensation — no external RC network needed, which cuts BOM count and board area. Synchronous rectification is built in, eliminating the external Schottky diode and improving efficiency at light loads. The 10-VSSOP package (3.00mm wide) fits dense layouts where board space is at a premium.
Temperature grade and sourcing posture
Active lifecycle status means no near-term end-of-life concern for ongoing production builds. For reel quantities, confirm the alternate ordering code with your preferred distributor.
