1.25 MHz switching frequency shrinks the LC filter
The TPS62020DRCR is a 600 mA step-down (buck) converter from TI, switching at 1.25 MHz. That switching frequency is the key parametric: it lets you use a smaller inductor and lower-value output capacitor than a 500 kHz part, shrinking the total power-supply footprint on a space-constrained board. The output is adjustable down to 0.7 V, which directly feeds low-voltage core rails for MCUs, FPGAs, or wireless SoCs without needing a separate LDO.
