Why the -55°C to 210°C range matters
The TPS62000SHKK is a Texas Instruments adjustable step-down buck regulator rated for a continuous operating junction temperature from -55°C to 210°C — not a typo, and not the standard TPS62000 part. That 210°C ceiling puts it into the downhole, avionics engine-bay, and satellite-bus tier where commercial plastic-packaged regulators fail. The 300 mA output current is modest, but the thermal headroom is the point: this part keeps running when the ambient is well above 125°C.
Ceramic flatpack — not your usual SOIC
The 10-CDFF (ceramic dual flatpack) package is a hermetic, high-temperature construction. This is not a standard TSSOP-8 or SOIC-8 footprint — the ceramic body and lead frame handle the 210°C junction temperature without the epoxy delamination you would see in a plastic package.
750 kHz switching — inductor sizing
The 750 kHz fixed switching frequency sets the inductor value and output ripple. Output voltage is adjustable from 0.8 V up to 5.5 V via an external resistor divider.
