600 mA buck with synchronous rectifier — no external Schottky needed
The Texas Instruments TPS62000DGSG4 is a 600 mA step-down (buck) switching regulator with integrated synchronous rectifier, switching at 750 kHz.
Switching frequency and output current — sizing the inductor
At 750 kHz, the inductor value can be kept in the 4.7 µH to 10 µH range for a 600 mA load, keeping the ripple current within 30–40 % of the output. The 600 mA rating is continuous; the part can deliver short peaks above that within the current-limit threshold, but the thermal budget in the 10-MSOP package sets the practical ceiling for sustained loads.
Temperature grade and package — reflow and environment
The 10-MSOP (3.00 mm width) is a standard surface-mount package with an MSL level of 1 (moisture sensitivity) typical for TI's MSOP family — no bake required before reflow if the floor life has not been exceeded.
