Boost regulator for LED backlight and display power
Input range, output ceiling, and switching frequency
Input supply range spans 2.9 V to 18 V, with the output adjustable from 2.9 V up to 38 V — enough headroom to drive long LED strings typical of 10- to 12-inch panel backlights. Switching frequency is programmable from 200 kHz to 2.2 MHz, letting the designer trade inductor size against switching losses and EMI filter complexity. The single-channel output supports both analog and PWM dimming methods, which is the standard interface for display brightness control.
