16-DSBGA — footprint and assembly reality
The 16-DSBGA package (0.4 mm pitch, 0.25 mm ball diameter) demands a controlled assembly process: a 100–125 µm solder-paste stencil, nitrogen reflow, and X-ray inspection are standard. It is not a hand-solder or rework-friendly package — plan for a pick-and-place line with a vision system. The small footprint (roughly 2.0 mm × 2.0 mm) saves board area but requires a 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane under the device for thermal management.
