Six-channel boost regulator for LCD backlight
It integrates six current-sink channels, each rated for 25 mA, and delivers a regulated output voltage up to 38 V from a 5 V to 24 V input supply. PWM dimming is handled on-chip, so the backlight brightness can be controlled directly from a display controller or PWM source without an external dimming switch.
Output voltage ceiling and string configuration
The 38 V maximum output voltage sets the practical series LED string length. Each of the six channels regulates its own 25 mA current sink independently.
For dual-source planning, the LM2703MF-ADJ/NOPB is a single-channel boost regulator in the same DC-DC regulator class, but its 350 mA output and single channel serve a different LED string topology — it is not a pin-compatible drop-in for the six-channel TPS61181RTER.
