Six-channel boost regulator for LED backlight strings
It integrates six current-sink outputs, each rated for 30 mA per channel, with a maximum output voltage of 38 V — enough headroom for a string of ten to twelve series-connected white LEDs. Switching at a fixed 1 MHz, the part allows a small external inductor and ceramic output capacitor, keeping the total bill-of-materials footprint compact for space-constrained backlight assemblies. PWM dimming is supported directly on the enable pin, giving the system designer a straightforward brightness-control interface without an external PWM generator.
Input supply range and thermal envelope
The supply input accepts 4.5 V to 24 V. Packaged in a 16-pin WFQFN with an exposed pad (3 mm × 3 mm), the device relies on the PCB copper pour under the pad for thermal dissipation.
It remains a current-production choice for new designs requiring a six-channel boost LED driver with PWM dimming.
