The TPS61163YFFR is a two-channel step-up (boost) DC-DC regulator from Texas Instruments, purpose-built for driving LED backlight strings in small-to-medium displays. Each channel delivers up to 30 mA, and the output voltage can be set anywhere from 2.7 V up to 38 V — enough headroom to stack several white LEDs in series.

Dimming and supply range
