Boost regulator for LED backlight strings
It integrates the switching FET internally and delivers up to 27 V at 35 mA per channel across two outputs, with PWM dimming control for brightness adjustment.
1.2 MHz switching — inductor sizing and EMI
The 1.2 MHz switching frequency lets you use a physically small inductor — typically 4.7 µH to 10 µH — which keeps the total solution height low for slim-panel designs.
Housed in a 10-VFDFN exposed pad package (3 mm x 3 mm VSON), the part relies on the pad soldered to a board copper pour for heat sinking. At 35 mA per channel and 27 V output, the power dissipation is modest, but the pad connection is non-negotiable for thermal and electrical ground return.
