Dual-rail power in a single 1.5x1.5 mm package
The Texas Instruments TPS61098DSET integrates a synchronous step-up (boost) converter and a linear LDO regulator in a single 6-WSON (1.5x1.5 mm) package, delivering two independent output rails from a common input supply as low as 0.7 V. Output 1 provides 4.3 V at up to 350 mA from the boost converter; output 2 delivers 2.2 V at 200 mA from the LDO — a common pairing for systems that need a main power rail and a lower-voltage always-on or sensor supply.
What the 0.7 V to 4.5 V input range means for your BOM
The 0.7 V minimum input lets this part run directly from a single alkaline cell well into its discharge curve, or from a Li-primary cell near end-of-life. The 4.5 V maximum covers two-cell alkaline or single-cell Li-ion without an external pre-regulator.
The base product number TPS61098 covers multiple output voltage options; the DSET suffix specifies the 4.3 V boost / 2.2 V LDO variant in the 6-WSON package with Tape & Reel delivery.
Package and thermal: 6-WSON layout notes
The datasheet layout recommendation ties this pad to ground and uses thermal vias to an inner-layer plane.
