What the dual-output topology means for your rail budget
The TPS610982DSET packs a synchronous boost converter and a linear LDO into a single 6-WSON (1.5x1.5) package — two regulated outputs from one IC, saving board space and reducing component count on battery-powered designs. Output 1 delivers 3.3V at 350mA from the boost converter; Output 2 provides 2.8V at 200mA from the LDO. The boost rail can feed a wireless SoC or sensor hub, while the LDO post-regulates a clean analog supply — the noise-sensitive load sees the LDO's rejection, not the switching ripple. Input supply range spans 0.7V to 4.5V, so the part can start from a near-depleted single-cell alkaline (0.9V) or a Li-ion cell down to 3.0V and still regulate both outputs.
