10 A boost converter with integrated synchronous FET
That 10 A ceiling is the part's defining spec — it powers high-brightness LED arrays, USB-C power delivery, or a multi-cell Li-ion boost stage without an external pass transistor. Synchronous rectification is integrated on-chip, so there is no external Schottky diode in the BOM. The internal FET pair handles the full 10 A cycle, which simplifies layout and cuts the diode's forward-voltage loss at high load.
Switching frequency and output range flexibility
The oscillator is programmable from 200 kHz to 2.2 MHz via a single resistor. A lower frequency (200 kHz) maximises efficiency by reducing switching losses; a higher frequency (2.2 MHz) shrinks the inductor to a 1 µH or 2.2 µH footprint, which matters when board height is the constraint. Output voltage is adjustable from a 4.5 V minimum up to 12.6 V maximum — the same ceiling as the 12 V input max. That 12.6 V limit means the part cannot regulate above its input rail (boost topology constraint), but it covers the common 5 V, 9 V, and 12 V rails used in portable and industrial gear.
