2 A switch — sizing the output for the load
The TPS61085DGKR is a step-up (boost) DC-DC converter from Texas Instruments with a 2 A internal switch. That 2 A rating is the peak current the switch can handle, not the output current.
650 kHz or 1.2 MHz — the inductor trade-off
The switching frequency is pin-selectable between 650 kHz and 1.2 MHz. Running at 1.2 MHz shrinks the inductor footprint but increases switching losses.
Input and output voltage range
The adjustable output goes up to 18.5 V, which opens up applications like biasing LCD panels, driving white LED strings, or powering sensor rails that need more than the input bus. Minimum fixed output starts at 2.8 V.
