Dual-frequency selection — inductor sizing trade-off
The 650 kHz setting favours higher efficiency at moderate load; the 1.2 MHz setting halves the minimum inductance value, shrinking the inductor footprint at the cost of slightly higher switching losses.
Output voltage ceiling and non-synchronous topology
The adjustable output reaches 18.5 V, which is enough for automotive LED strings, OLED bias, or sensor rails. Note that the part does not use synchronous rectification — the external Schottky diode adds a forward-drop loss term that matters at high duty cycles. Keep the diode's Vf and thermal rating in the BOM review.
