Boost converter for high-voltage bias rails
The Texas Instruments TPS61045DRBR is a boost (step-up) DC-DC converter that takes a 1.8V to 6V input and delivers an adjustable output up to 28V. The single output is positive and adjustable — no synchronous rectifier, so the external Schottky diode selection matters for efficiency.
The input range is 1.8V to 6V, with a single adjustable output up to 28V. The 300 mA switch current limits the output power. At 28V output from 3.3V input, the maximum output current is roughly 300 mA × (3.3V / 28V) × efficiency — expect about 30 mA to 35 mA usable. If your load needs more, look at a boost with a higher switch rating or external FET.
Package and thermal handling for the rework bench
The TPS61045DRBR comes in an 8-VDFN exposed pad package (3x3 mm SON).
