Boost regulator with integrated switch for backlight and bias rails
The 1 MHz switching frequency allows the use of small inductors and ceramic capacitors, shrinking the total solution footprint for space-constrained portable or panel applications.
The 28 V output ceiling covers a string of white LEDs in series or an industrial bias rail without needing an external voltage doubler. Because the switch current limit is 215 mA, the practical output current at 28 V from a 3.3 V input is roughly 20 mA — enough for a small LED backlight or a low-power sensor bias, but not for a multi-amp boost converter.
PWM dimming and temperature range
The PWM dimming input on the TPS61041DBVR lets the controller modulate the LED current directly from a microcontroller PWM output, without an external analog dimming circuit.
Active production, SOT-23-5 package
It is supplied in a SOT-23-5 package, a standard surface-mount outline that reflows on a standard lead-free profile without special handling.
