5A non-synchronous buck for 24V automotive rails
It accepts an input from 5.5V to 36V and delivers an adjustable output from 1.221V up to 32.04V at a fixed 500 kHz switching frequency. The non-synchronous topology (no internal synchronous rectifier) requires an external Schottky catch diode. The 500 kHz fixed frequency lets the designer size the inductor and output capacitor for a predictable ripple, and the 36V max input gives headroom for 24V battery systems with load-dump transients.
AEC-Q100 grade and full temperature range
The 8-PowerSOIC package with exposed PowerPad (8-SO PowerPad) helps pull heat into the PCB copper plane.
For volume quoting, the part is sourced to order against BOM quantities. The laser etch on the package should match the Texas Instruments logo, date-code format, and the marking layout defined in the package drawing — any deviation in font or alignment is a red flag for gray-market material.
