The fixed 570 kHz switching frequency sits in a practical middle ground: it keeps inductor values in the 10 µH to 47 µH range, avoiding the larger magnetics of a 100 kHz design while staying below the higher switching losses of a 1 MHz part. The non-synchronous rectifier means an external Schottky diode handles the low-side path — factor that into the BOM and board area.
Temperature range — industrial and under-hood capable
The 8-SOIC package with a copper pad on the PCB helps pull heat away from the die.
