Product details

D-CAP2™ control — no external compensation

The TPS54327DDA: The D-CAP2™ architecture uses a constant on-time (COT) topology with an internal ripple injection network. The loop is internally compensated, so the designer does not need to calculate RC networks around the error amplifier — the output capacitor ESR provides the feedback ramp. This simplifies the BOM and reduces the risk of loop instability across the full input and load range. Synchronous rectification is integrated on-chip, eliminating the external Schottky catch diode. The internal low-side FET replaces the diode, improving efficiency by 3-5% at 3 A compared to a non-synchronous buck of the same rating.

Compliance and supply posture

ROHS3 compliant (no exemptions for lead, mercury, or phthalates) — suitable for EU RoHS and similar regulated markets.
