Dual-output buck controller in a 4x4 QFN
The Texas Instruments TPS51125ARGET is a dual-output step-down (buck) controller from the D-CAP™ series, designed to drive external N-channel MOSFETs in synchronous rectifier configurations. With a supply range of 5.5 V to 28 V on Vcc/Vdd, it handles common intermediate rails from 12 V to 24 V in notebook, desktop, and industrial power systems. The two independent outputs share a single 24-VFQFN exposed-pad package (24-VQFN 4x4 mm), keeping the footprint compact for dense PCB layouts.
Where the D-CAP™ series fits
D-CAP™ is TI's proprietary constant-on-time control architecture that delivers fast transient response without external compensation — the loop stability is built into the on-time generator, so the BOM omits the usual RC network around the error amplifier. Control features include Enable, On Time Control, and Power Good — the Power Good flag can sequence downstream converters or feed a system supervisor without an external comparator.
