The TPS40193DRCT is a step-down (buck) DC-DC controller from Texas Instruments, designed to drive external N-channel MOSFETs in a synchronous rectifier topology. It takes a 4.5 V to 18 V input rail and regulates a single positive output through a transistor driver stage. Switching at a fixed 300 kHz, the controller delivers up to 85% duty cycle — enough headroom for high step-down ratios without pulse skipping.
