Dual-rail supervisor for 65-V capable systems
The Texas Instruments TPS38B752933DSKR is a multi-voltage supervisor that monitors two independent supply rails with thresholds of 2.9 V and 7.5 V. It asserts an Active Low reset output when either monitored voltage falls below its threshold, with a maximum reset timeout of 100 µs. The output is configurable as open-drain or push-pull.
What the 100 µs reset timeout means for your power-up sequence
The 100 µs maximum reset timeout is short enough to avoid delaying the system power-up handshake, but long enough to debounce glitches on the monitored rails. For designs using a separate power-good signal from a DC/DC converter, this supervisor can be used as a secondary monitor that catches brown-out conditions the converter might not flag. The open-drain output option lets multiple supervisors share a common reset line with a pull-up resistor, which is common in multi-rail FPGA or SoC designs.
