What this supervisor does that a fixed-threshold part cannot
The TPS3897ADRYR is a single-channel voltage supervisor with an active-high, open-drain reset output. Its adjustable threshold and reset timeout let you set the trip point and hold-off period with external resistor dividers and capacitors — useful when your rail is non-standard or you need a specific power-up delay that a fixed-threshold part does not offer.
Both the voltage threshold and the reset timeout period are adjustable or selectable via external components.
Active-high, open-drain — the pull-up decision
The reset output is active high with an open-drain stage. You supply your own pull-up resistor to the logic rail of the downstream device.
Temperature range and package — where it survives
The 6-UFDFN (6-SON, 1.45 mm × 1.0 mm) package is small enough for space-constrained PCBs but has an exposed thermal pad that needs a via-stitched copper land on the PCB to pull heat into the inner layers.
