The Texas Instruments TPS3895PDRYR is a Simple Reset/Power-On Reset supervisor IC in a 6-SON (1.45x1) package. It monitors a single voltage rail and asserts a reset signal when the supply drops below an adjustable threshold. The reset output is Active High with a Push-Pull, Totem Pole stage, so it drives a logic high when the monitored rail is out of tolerance. The reset timeout is adjustable or selectable via external components, giving the designer control over the delay before re-asserting the reset after the supply recovers.
Many reset ICs use an Active Low, open-drain output that requires a pull-up resistor. The TPS3895PDRYR flips that: its Active High, Push-Pull output sources and sinks current directly, so no external pull-up is needed. The push-pull stage also provides faster edge rates, which matters when the reset signal feeds a processor that expects a clean, fast transition.
Adjustable reset timeout and threshold — design flexibility without extra pins
Both the reset timeout and the voltage threshold are adjustable or selectable. This means a single TPS3895PDRYR can be configured for different supply rails by setting the threshold via an external resistor divider.
