Automotive-grade reset for 3.3 V rails
170 ms reset timeout — what it buys the system
The 170 ms minimum reset timeout gives the downstream MCU, SoC, or FPGA a guaranteed window for its core supply to stabilise before the reset is released. In a multi-rail power-up sequence this prevents the processor from starting execution before the I/O and memory rails are within tolerance.
Wettable flank package for AOI inspection
The 8-VSON (3x3 mm) package features wettable flanks, meaning the side terminations are designed to wick solder during reflow. This creates a visible solder fillet that automated optical inspection (AOI) systems can verify, a requirement in many automotive and high-reliability assembly lines where hidden solder joints under the package are not acceptable.
The AEC-Q100 qualification also covers the extended reliability testing — pre-conditioning, high-temperature operating life, and temperature cycling — that the automotive tier-1 supply chain requires.
