The Texas Instruments TPS3840PL16DBVR is a single-channel simple reset/power-on reset IC that monitors a 1.6V threshold rail and asserts a reset output when the supply drops below that level. It is a Simple Reset/Power-On Reset type supervisor with an active-low, push-pull output — no external pull-up resistor needed on the reset line, which simplifies the BOM for space-constrained designs. Push-pull output — one less resistor on the BOM
The push-pull (totem-pole) output drives the reset line high or low directly. That saves one component and one PCB trace, which matters when the board is already dense or when the reset line runs to a processor that expects a driven high level rather than a pulled-up open collector. The reset is active low, so the output goes low when the monitored voltage falls below the 1.6V threshold and stays low for the 619ms timeout after the supply recovers above the threshold.
