1.8V rail supervisor with active-high assertion
The TPS3840PH18DBVR is a single-channel voltage supervisor from TI's TPS3840 family, built to monitor a 1.8V supply rail and assert a logic-high reset when the voltage drops below that threshold. The active-high output is push-pull, so it drives the reset line directly without an external pull-up resistor. This delay is fixed internally; no external capacitor is needed.
The 619 ms typical reset timeout is a single, non-adjustable value. For designs that need a shorter or programmable delay, the TLV803 family offers 130 ms and 33 ms minimum options, but those parts use an open-drain active-low output and require an external pull-up. This means the die can reach 125°C even if the ambient stays lower — relevant for enclosures with poor airflow or adjacent hot components.
