3.2V threshold supervisor for automotive supply rails
The TPS3840DL32DBVRQ1 is a Texas Instruments Simple Reset/Power-On Reset IC designed to monitor a single 3.2V supply rail. The 3.2V threshold is the voltage at which the device asserts a reset — it keeps the downstream MCU or SoC in reset until the monitored rail stabilises above that level plus the hysteresis band. The reset timeout is 619ms typical. If the rail dips below 3.2V again during that window, the timeout retriggers. The output is open-drain, active-low. Open-drain means the reset signal can be pulled up to any voltage within the absolute maximum rating of the pin — useful when the supervisor runs on a different rail than the monitored processor.
