The TPS3840DL18DBVRQ1 is a Texas Instruments Simple Reset/Power-On Reset IC that monitors a single 1.8V supply rail. It asserts a reset signal (Active Low, Open Drain output) when the monitored voltage drops below the 1.8V threshold, and holds the reset for a typical 619ms timeout after the rail recovers.
Parametric fit: threshold, timeout, and temperature range
The 1.8V threshold is fixed and targets low-voltage core or I/O rails common in modern MCUs and SoCs. The 619ms typical reset timeout provides a long enough hold-off for the supply to stabilise after a brown-out or power-up event, reducing the chance of the system attempting to run before the rail is within tolerance. The open-drain output allows the reset signal to be wire-ORed with other supervisors or pulled up to a different voltage level, giving flexibility in mixed-voltage systems. The SOT-23-5 package keeps the footprint small, suitable for space-constrained ECU or sensor module PCBs.
It is ROHS3 compliant.
