4.55 V threshold — why this reset IC is built for 5 V rails
The TPS3823-50QDBVRQ1 is a Texas Instruments simple reset/power-on reset IC with a fixed 4.55 V threshold, designed to monitor a single 5 V supply rail. When the supply drops below that threshold, the active-low, push-pull output asserts reset and holds it for a minimum of 120 ms after the rail recovers.
SOT-23-5 package — footprint and layout notes
The TPS3823-50QDBVRQ1 is supplied in an SC-74A / SOT-753 package, commonly referred to as SOT-23-5. It is a surface-mount package with five leads on a 0.95 mm pitch. The small footprint suits space-constrained automotive PCBs, but the 0.95 mm pitch is forgiving enough for a two-layer board with proper decoupling.
