The TPS3808G15DBVR is a simple reset/power-on reset IC from Texas Instruments. It monitors a single voltage rail and asserts an active-low, open-drain reset output when the supply drops below the 1.4V threshold. The reset timeout is adjustable or selectable, giving you flexibility to match the power-up timing of the downstream processor or FPGA.
The 1.4V threshold is a fixed trip point. If your monitored rail is a 1.5V or 1.8V core supply, this IC will hold the reset output low until the rail rises above 1.4V, then release after the timeout period. The adjustable/selectable timeout means you can set the reset pulse width to suit the oscillator start-up or PLL lock time of the load IC. A short timeout gets the system running faster; a longer one prevents false resets on a noisy rail. The open-drain output lets you wire-OR the reset signal with other supervisor outputs or pull it up to a different voltage than the monitored rail.
The part is ROHS3 compliant. The SOT-23-6 package is widely stocked across multiple distribution channels; lead time is assessed per RFQ.
