What the 120 ms reset timeout and adjustable threshold mean for your BOM
The TPS3801-01DCKR: It asserts a reset signal (Active Low) when the monitored supply drops below the threshold, and holds it asserted for a minimum of 120 ms after the supply returns above threshold — this fixed timeout gives the downstream processor time to stabilize its oscillator and power rails before the reset is released. This flexibility reduces BOM line items when the same supervisor is used across multiple voltage domains in a mixed-voltage design. The push-pull, totem-pole output structure drives the reset line high or low without requiring an external pull-up resistor — a direct connection to the processor's reset input is sufficient, saving one resistor per supervisor channel.
Package and temperature grade for board integration
The surface-mount footprint is standard and supported by common PCB layout libraries. It is suitable for deployment in factory-floor equipment, outdoor telecom enclosures, and automotive cabin environments (non-engine-bay) where the ambient stays within this band.
