Active high and active low resets in one package
Having both reset polarities on the same device saves a logic inverter or level shifter on the board. The open-drain option allows wired-OR connections for shared reset lines, while push-pull eliminates the external pull-up resistor. This is a practical advantage in dense designs where every passive counts toward the BOM line count.
