0.8V threshold supervisor for automotive low-voltage rails
The TPS3703E4080DSERQ1 is a Texas Instruments Simple Reset/Power-On Reset IC designed to monitor a single voltage rail at a 0.8V threshold. The active-low, open-drain output asserts reset when the monitored supply drops below 0.8V, holding the output low until the rail recovers above the threshold plus hysteresis. This sub-1V threshold makes it suitable for monitoring modern 0.9V or 1.0V core supplies in automotive ECUs, ADAS modules, and body controllers.
AEC-Q100 grade and 125°C junction rating
This covers under-hood and engine-bay environments where commercial-grade supervisors (typically 85°C max) would derate or fail. The 125°C rating is a hard gate for tier-one PPAP submissions — parts rated only to 105°C are often rejected for high-ambient locations near the exhaust or turbo.
Open-drain output for shared reset bus
The open-drain output allows multiple supervisors to share a common reset line via a wired-OR connection, and lets the pull-up voltage be set independently of the monitored rail. This is useful in multi-voltage systems where the reset signal must be level-shifted to a higher logic family (e.g., 3.3V or 5V). The output is not push-pull — confirm the downstream reset input is not left floating when the supervisor is unpowered.
