What the three monitored rails mean for your PSU design
The TPS3511DR is a three-channel multi-voltage supervisor that monitors the 3.3V, 5V, and 12V rails — the three standard outputs of an ATX or industrial power supply. No external resistor divider is needed to set the thresholds; the internal comparators are factory-trimmed to those voltages. The reset output is active-low, open-drain, so it can be wire-ORed with other supervisors or a manual reset button on the same pull-up resistor. The 100ms minimum reset timeout gives the downstream rails time to stabilise before the CPU or logic comes out of reset.
Housed in an 8-SOIC (0.154", 3.90mm width) surface-mount package, the TPS3511DR fits standard SOIC-8 footprints. Cut-tape options are also available for prototyping.
The part is ROHS3 compliant.
