Two-rail supervisor – why the second threshold matters
The TPS3306-18DR monitors two independent voltage rails with thresholds of 1.68V and 2.93V. If either rail drops below its threshold, the open-drain output pulls low and holds for a minimum 70ms reset timeout. That second channel saves a separate supervisor IC when you need to sequence or protect both a core and an I/O supply.
The 1.68V threshold suits a 1.8V core rail (e.g., DDR memory or low-voltage logic), while the 2.93V threshold catches a 3.3V I/O or auxiliary rail before it drifts out of spec. The active-low, open-drain output lets you wire-OR multiple supervisors to a shared reset line without contention. The 70ms minimum reset timeout gives downstream regulators and oscillators time to settle before the processor releases from reset.
