What the dual-threshold supervisor does for your board
The TPS3305-18D is a multi-voltage supervisor from Texas Instruments that monitors two supply rails simultaneously — thresholds at 1.68V and 2.93V. This is the kind of part you drop onto a board with a 3.3V I/O rail and a 1.8V core rail, so that if either dips below its threshold the supervisor asserts a reset and holds it for a minimum of 140ms. Both active-high and active-low reset outputs are available from the same chip, and the output stage is push-pull (totem pole) — no external pull-up resistor needed. That simplifies the BOM and saves a resistor slot on a dense board.

Supplier device package is 8-SOIC. The 140ms minimum reset timeout gives downstream regulators and oscillators enough time to stabilise before the processor comes out of reset.
