High-side switch with adjustable current limit
Its N-channel MOSFET delivers a typical on-resistance of 85 mOhm, keeping conduction losses low for loads up to 1.5 A. The switch integrates adjustable current limiting, over-temperature protection, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO), with a status flag output to signal fault conditions.
Slew rate control and fault protection
Slew-rate controlled turn-on limits inrush current into capacitive loads, reducing supply droop on the upstream rail. The adjustable current-limit threshold is set with an external resistor between the ILIM pin and ground, allowing the designer to tailor the trip point below the 1.5 A maximum. Over-temperature protection shuts off the switch if the junction exceeds the safe operating area, and UVLO prevents the switch from turning on when the input supply is too low.
