Adjustable current limit and fault protection
A key feature is the adjustable current-limiting threshold — the designer sets the trip point with an external resistor, which allows the same PCB layout to serve loads from a few hundred milliamps up to the 1.5 A ceiling. The part also integrates over-temperature shutdown and under-voltage lockout (UVLO), so a shorted load or a sagging supply rail trips the switch cleanly without external supervisory circuitry. A status flag output reports fault conditions to the system controller.
