The TPS2513DBVR is a dedicated USB charging port controller and power switch in a single SOT-23-6 package. It handles the DCP handshake logic so the host port or wall adapter can deliver the negotiated current to a connected device without a separate controller. Typical applications include USB wall chargers, car chargers, and any downstream port that needs to mimic a dedicated charger.
Supply range and quiescent current
Operates from 4.5V to 5.5V — the 5V USB rail is the natural fit. Quiescent supply current is 155µA, which matters for battery-powered or always-on charger designs where every microamp on the standby budget counts.
The SOT-23-6 footprint is small enough to place right at the USB connector, keeping the VBUS trace short. Surface-mount assembly only; no through-hole variant available.
