4.4 mOhm switch for a 6 A rail
It handles a continuous 6 A through the N-channel pass FET with a typical on-resistance of 4.4 mOhm — low enough that at full load the conduction loss stays under 160 mW before you factor in the PCB copper.
The part integrates slew-rate control and a load-discharge feature. Slew-rate control limits inrush current into a capacitive load — without it, a 6 A-rated switch can trip the upstream supply on power-up. The load-discharge resistor pulls the output to ground when the switch is disabled, preventing a floating rail from holding downstream logic in an indeterminate state. Both features are on-chip; no external timing cap needed.
