What the 22 mOhm Rds(on) means for the power rail
The TPS22967DSGR is a single-channel, high-side N-channel load switch from Texas Instruments, in an 8-WSON (2x2) package. Its typical on-resistance of 22 mOhm keeps conduction loss low at the 4 A maximum continuous output. The load voltage range spans 2.5 V to 5.5 V, while the bias supply (Vcc/Vdd) accepts 0.8 V to 5.5 V. The slew-rate controlled turn-on limits inrush current into downstream bulk capacitance, which stabilises the upstream rail during hot-plug or power-up sequencing. The integrated load-discharge resistor pulls the output to ground when the switch is disabled, preventing a floating output that could hold up a load circuit.
It is not AEC-Q100 qualified, so it does not belong in an automotive under-hood or cabin design that requires PPAP documentation — capable is not qualified for a Tier-1 auditor.
Supplied in an 8-WSON (2x2 mm) package with exposed pad.
