Automotive load switch with 16 mOhm on-resistance
The N-channel MOSFET output with non-inverting On/Off interface makes it a straightforward power-rail gating device for ECUs, ADAS camera modules, infotainment clusters, and body-control modules where the load must be isolated or sequenced.
At 4 A load current, the 16 mOhm typical Rds(on) produces about 64 mW of conduction loss at 25°C — low enough that the 8-WSON (2x2 mm) package with exposed pad can dissipate it without forced airflow in a 125°C ambient, provided the PCB copper area under the pad follows the recommended layout. The slew-rate controlled turn-on (featured in this part) limits inrush current into capacitive loads, preventing the upstream supply rail from drooping during power-up. This matters for camera modules or sensor clusters that present a large bypass capacitance at the load switch output.
Package and rework — 8-WSON with wettable flank
That flank gives a visible solder fillet on the side of the package after reflow, making automated optical inspection (AOI) possible — a practical advantage for production quality control and for bench rework where you need to confirm the joint is wetted before applying hot air. Surface-mount with wettable flank means the part is compatible with standard Pb-free reflow profiles.
