High-side load switch with 16 mOhm Rds(on)
It switches a load rail from 2.5 V to 5.7 V and is biased from a separate Vcc/Vdd pin spanning 0.8 V to 5.7 V. The 16 mOhm typical on-resistance at 6 A max output keeps conduction losses low — at full load the I²R dissipation is under 0.6 W, manageable with the exposed pad soldered to a copper plane. Built-in load discharge and slew rate control (features listed on the product line) manage turn-on inrush and ensure the output rail discharges cleanly when the switch is disabled.
Supply rails and enable logic
The load voltage (VIN) and the bias voltage (Vcc/Vdd) are independent: VIN accepts 2.5 V to 5.7 V, while Vcc/Vdd runs as low as 0.8 V. The On/Off interface is non-inverting — a high on the enable pin turns the switch on. The 1:1 input-to-output ratio means no level shifting or inversion on the control signal.
Package and board mounting
The pad carries the ground return for the bias circuit and pulls heat out of the die. Surface-mount assembly; the tape-and-reel and cut-tape options cover both production reel quantities and prototype pick quantities.
For a high-volume power-rail switch, this means the BOM line can be committed without near-term obsolescence risk.
