5.3 mOhm switch for sub-1 V rails
The TPS22920YZPRB is a single-channel, high-side load switch from Texas Instruments. Its typical Rds(on) is 5.3 mOhm. The load voltage range spans 0.75 V to 3.6 V. No separate Vcc/Vdd supply is needed.
The slew-rate controlled turn-on limits inrush current when a bank of decoupling caps hits the rail. Without it, the sudden current draw can droop the upstream supply and cause a brown-out reset on adjacent logic. The load-discharge feature pulls the output to ground when the switch is off, preventing a floating output that could hold a downstream device in an undefined state during power sequencing. The N-channel MOSFET output is configured as a high-side switch with a 1:1 input-to-output ratio, meaning the switch passes the input voltage straight through when enabled. The On/Off interface is non-inverting — a logic high on the enable pin turns the switch on.
