What this load switch does — and where it fits
Slew-rate control is built in, meaning the switch ramps on gradually rather than slamming the upstream rail with a current surge. Reverse-current protection is also on-chip — if the output voltage rises above the input (battery-backed RTC, supercap, or another rail), the switch blocks backflow without an external blocking diode. It is not rated for under-hood or downhole use.
